Hurotics Co. Ltd. is showcasing its “clothing-like rehabilitation robot” at Medica this week (Nov. 17-20) in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Medica is one of the world’s largest healthcare trade shows, attracting more than 5,000 companies from 72 countries and 80,000-plus medical professionals and buyers annually. During the four-day event, Hurotics is demonstrating its flagship product, the H-Medi gait rehabilitation robot.
H-Medi is a class II medical device for lower limb gait rehabilitation assistance that features a lightweight design and precise auxiliary force control technology. Hurotics is highlighting the integration of wearable technology and gait rehabilitation as its core theme, emphasizing H-Medi’s clinical value and innovation as a customized rehabilitation solution based on real-time gait data. The company is preparing H-Medi for U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval.
With artificial intelligence (AI) capable of predicting disease prognosis with 92% accuracy, H-Medi refines treatment by analyzing individual gait patterns, leading to a more than 10% improvement in walking speed, according to the company. Its on-device AI delivers customized support within two minutes by using adaptive algorithms to assess and assist with 95% accuracy, enhancing gait efficiency by up to 21%. This comprehensive approach ensures precise, personalized rehabilitation, effectively addressing the growing challenge of gait disorders in an aging society.
Hurotics is conducting on-site H-Medi demonstrations for key buyers, including doctors, hospital administrators, and medical device distributors.
“Participating in Medica is a crucial opportunity for Hurotics to present our wearable robot technology on the global stage and establish a strong bridgehead for entering the European market,” Hurotics CEO Giuk Lee said. “We are committed to proving the clinical efficacy and innovation of H-Medi at the world’s largest medical device exhibition and building a foundation for growth as a global company.”
