As the global medical technology landscape continues to evolve, the demand for miniaturization and precision in component manufacturing has never been greater. At CompaMed this year in Düsseldorf, Germany, (Nov. 17-20), micromolding specialist Accumold will be showcasing its ultra-precise plastic injection molding capabilities, and its prowess in next-generation medtech innovation.
With more than 80,000 participants and 750 exhibitors from over 165 countries, CompaMed is the largest and most influential trade fair for medical device suppliers. Operating from Stand F20-5 in the U.S. Pavilion (Hall 8b), Accumold will highlight its more than 40 years of experience in high-volume micromolding and supporting medical applications requiring non-negotiable precision and reliability. The company considers itself an expert at producing parts with micron-level tolerances, microfluidic channels, or components smaller than a grain of sand.
“We don’t just mold parts, we engineer solutions for the most demanding medical applications in the world,” said Petra Badrah, business development manager, Europe, for Accumold. “Our customers know that success in medical device manufacturing isn’t about finding a vendor. It’s about finding a strategic partner who can collaborate from concept through scale. That’s where Accumold excels.”
As a vertically integrated operation, Accumold maintains in-house tooling, automation, metrology, and cleanroom molding to ensure consistency and quality in its projects. From bioresorbable materials to high-temperature thermoplastics like poly ether ether ketone (PEEK) and LCP, Accumold molds materials that others might deem impossible.
CompaMed attendees can explore Accumold’s Design for Micro Molding (DfMM) capabilities, which are critical for customers wishing to reduce design iterations, improve manufacturability, and speed time to market.
Based in Ankeny, Iowa, Accumold is a high-tech manufacturer of precision micro, small, and lead frame injection-molded plastic components.
