Veranex, an “Innovation CRO” (iCRO) specializing in end-to-end medtech development, has appointed Jose Pablo Morales, MD as its new chief medical officer (CMO).

Dr. Morales joins Veranex after a career at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), where he provided clinical and regulatory oversight for over 1,000 medical device submissions, including PMAs, IDEs, and breakthrough designations. He held a leading role in implementing and adopting the FDA’s Early Feasibility Studies (EFS) pathway.

Dr. Morales was most recently senior medical adviser in the Office of Clinical Policy and guided cross-center initiatives on complex clinical trials and ethical standards. His background in cardiovascular and implantable device development spans clinical practices and regulatory leadership.

As chief medical officer, he will lead the medical and clinical vision for Veranex’s integrated services platform. The company believes Dr. Morales’ leadership will grow its expertise in modern trial design, real-world evidence generation, and digital innovation.
