SS Innovations announced that its SSi Mantra surgical robotic system has been used to successfully perform over 4,000 robotic surgeries. These were done across over 100 types of surgeries without complications, injuries, or mortalities, the company reported.

The milestone includes about 215 cardiac surgical procedures. Six of these were done via telesurgery across India with the SSi Mantra 3 surgical robotic system.

SSi Mantra, to date, has been used in general surgery, urology, gynecology, cardiac, gastrointestinal, thoracic, head and neck, and breast and plastic. It’s approved to market in India, Nepal, Ecuador, Guatemala, Philippines, Indonesia and Ukraine.

“The milestone of 4,000 robotic surgeries successfully performed with our SSi Mantra surgical robotic system reflects its world-class quality, differentiated features, ease of use, and growing acceptance by leading physicians in India, where SS Innovations leads the market, and beyond,” said SS Innovations chairman and CEO Dr. Sudhir Srivastava. “Our SSi Mantra systems are cleared to market in seven countries, and we are taking important steps to enter the United States and European Union markets.”

Dr. Srivastava also said the company expects an EU CE mark decision as early as late 2025 and a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) decision as early as H1 2026.
