Nihon Kohden America, a global leader in medical technology, introduced the availability of the NKV-440 Ventilator System. Previously offered through Nihon Kohden’s subsidiary, OrangeMed, this advanced ventilator is now accessible to a wider range of healthcare providers.

“Healthcare providers need reliable, easy-to-use ventilators that can handle various patient needs without the need to switch devices,” Roy Sakai, President of Nihon Kohden America told the press. “The NKV-440 offers comprehensive respiratory support in one compact, portable unit.”

The NKV-440 Ventilator System is designed to meet current challenges of healthcare facilities, such as staff shortages, budget constraints, and the need for adaptable, high-performance medical equipment.

“The NKV-440 ventilator has been a valuable addition to our respiratory solutions portfolio,” said Hong-Lin Du, M.D., President of Nihon Kohden OrangeMed. “We’re excited to collaborate with Nihon Kohden America to bring this innovative ventilator to a broader market, ensuring more healthcare providers have access to this feature-rich solution.”

The new system combines invasive ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, and high-flow oxygen therapy in a single device, simplifying patient care and saving valuable bedside space.

It also operates without wall air or costly compressors with a turbine-driven design. Its compact size supports easy transport within the hospital, ensuring continuous respiratory support. This design also reduces maintenance requirements, making it a more cost-effective solution.

NKV-440 Ventilator System Features a customizable, app-based touchscreen interface that is easy to learn and use. This reduces training time for new staff and improves overall efficiency. The user-friendly interface and comprehensive monitoring capabilities make it easier for clinicians to provide high-quality care.
