MW Industries, a provider of highly engineered springs, specialty fasteners, machined parts, and other precision components, announced today the acquisition of LaVezzi Precision, Inc., a manufacturer of precision machined components used by the medical device industry.
 
Located in Bloomingdale, IL, LaVezzi was founded over 100 years ago as a manufacturer of components for motion picture projectors. The company reinvented itself in the mid-1980s as a high-precision component supplier to the medical device market.
 
LaVezzi manufactures machined components for cardiovascular devices, orthopedic and dental implants, and metal components for laparoscopic and surgical devices. The company specializes in high- precision machining of titanium and stainless steel components for applications requiring extremely tight tolerances, earning a reputation for quality and excellence within the medical device component industry.

LaVezzi will continue operations in their 90,000 square feet facility in Bloomingdale under MW Industries’ ownership.
 
MW Industries has completed a number of acquisitions to strengthen its product offerings and enhance its value to customers. The company is currently evaluating a strong pipeline of possible transactions.
