Costa Rican companies TMA and ITEK began a strategic collaboration agreement in order to strengthen the medical device and advanced manufacturing clusters in the region.

The alliance merges TMA’s specialization in providing medical-grade plastic resins and specialty chemicals with ITEK’s operational and logistical expertise under the Free Trade Zone regime, at the new Parque CLI site in Coyol, Alajuela.

TMA aims to foster a culture of continuous improvement by using artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize decision making, anticipate risks, and boost operational efficiency with defined metrics. This lets the company’s clients operate with consistent deliveries, risk control, and more predictability, lowering friction in the supply chain.

ITEK uses ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 certified processes and advanced management systems to automate inventory control and customs compliance. This aims to ensure execution, full traceability, and data security to maintain an agile, transparent supply chain aligned with medical and advanced manufacturing industry standards.
