Hyperfine has launched its Portable Ultra-Low-Field Scientific Exchange (PULSE), a subscription-based platform that was designed to help clinical researchers and developers advance access and innovation in portable MRI.

The PULSE subscription, available to all Swoop artificial intelligence (AI)-powered portable MRI users, offers access to tools to advance this rapidly growing field. Subscribers obtain access to proprietary Hyperfine research sequences powered by Optive AI software, can import and adapt community-developed sequences, and can access raw data to support diverse imaging initiatives.

PULSE lets researchers explore new clinical applications while providing developers with a foundation to prototype, test, and deploy next-gen imaging solutions. It can help allow research and innovation across specialties like neurology, pediatrics, emergency medicine, neurosurgery, and underserved care.

“PULSE transforms the Swoop system from a clinical device into an innovation platform,” said Maria Sainz, president and CEO of Hyperfine. “Through unprecedented access to our technology and collaborative support, we’re creating new opportunities for clinical researchers and developers to help advance the next wave of portable MRI technology. We look forward to partnering with PULSE subscribers to further accelerate the revolutionary potential of portable MRI.”

The platform features a curated suite of tools as well as opportunities for advanced technical support. In the future, the company plans to expand access to application developers without physical access to the Swoop system, growing the program’s impact across academic institutions, startups, and AI innovators.

Last month, Hyperfine gained CE mark and UK Conformity Assessment (UKCA) approval for its Optive AI software.
