David Schnur Associates (DSA), a supplier of outsourced technical sales and marketing for medical device and life sciences organizations, revealed an exclusive, multi-year agreement to add Freudenberg Medical to its network of partners.

Freudenberg Medical is a contract design and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that specializes in metal components like hypotubes, laser-cut tubes, pullwire assemblies, laser welding, and engineered needles for cardiovascular, structural heart, peripheral vascular, electrophysiology, and neurovascular devices.

Thanks to the partnership, DSA will now be able to offer precision metal and coating solutions. Freudenberg Medical will benefit through broader industry access to its component and surface treatment solutions. DSA CEO Barry Schnur said the company has long admired Freudenberg for the company’s creativity and dedication to operational excellence.

“This partnership is a strategic alignment with a company that brings over 175 years of unparalleled materials science expertise to the medtech industry—a rarity in our market,” Schnur told the press. “It significantly enhances our ability to offer customers even more comprehensive solutions as they develop sophisticated medical devices, especially for minimally invasive and interventional applications.”

Freudenberg CEO Michael McGee said the partnership lengthens the reach of its commercial teams and helps ensure its coating solutions and metal components are more accessible at the crucial early device development stages.

“This collaboration offers the R&D teams of medical device OEMs faster access to a trusted CDMO with deep clinical acumen, empowering them to design high-performing devices and accelerate their time to market,” said McGee, who was promoted to chief exec in January.

In June, DSA named digital sourcing platform Chamfr its digital agency partner to expand marketing collaboration and supplier engagement in the medical device and life sciences industries.
