Cadence Inc., a provider of vertically integrated contract manufacturing solutions to the medtech and pharma markets, has been awarded a Silver Medal from EcoVadis, a provider of business sustainability ratings.

This is the first time that Cadence has earned the Silver designation, which places the company’s sustainability program in the top 13% of all companies assessed across the globe.

Every year, the company undergoes an independent assessment by EcoVadis to evaluate its sustainability policies, programs, and performance across environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Cadence said achieving the Silver Medal this year is a significant milestone and recognizes its continued efforts to strengthen its sustainability practices company wide.

The company said it sees great value in leveraging the annual EcoVadis assessment to support growing customer interest in sustainability performance and transparency. Cadence commits to continuous improvement and using responsible business practices to build a more sustainable future.

“In 2024, we were proud to receive our third Bronze Medal, but this year’s Silver Medal reflects the evolution of our sustainability initiatives and the growing impact of our efforts,” said Rob Werge, president and CEO of Cadence. “It also allows us to confidently share our progress with medical device and pharmaceutical OEM partners and stakeholders who place a high value on sustainability.”

The company celebrated its 40th anniversary this year—Cadence was established in 1985 by engineer Martin Lightsey.
