B. Braun OEM Division today announced a name change that better reflects a renewed focus on key customers and reinforces its partnership-driven business model.

Now going by B. Braun Pharma & MedTech Partner, the organization will continue to combine shared expertise, innovation, and global reach to help pharmaceutical and medtech companies develop trusted products that protect and improve people’s health. B. Braun Pharma & MedTech Partner will continue to operate as a division of B. Braun, one of the world’s largest medical device companies with operations in 64 countries.

“Our new name reflects our approach and clearly communicates our focus on the pharmaceutical and medtech industries as we aim to bring a consistent customer experience no matter where we partner with them around the globe,” said Dr. Thilo Brinkmann, senior vice president of Global B2B, Business Development & Partnering. “The single global identity also reinforces the broad base of product capabilities, engineering know-how, and country-specific knowledge that our team provides collaboratively to each other and our customers.”

The division has more than 50 years of experience providing components, assemblies, and procedure kits and packs in an outsourcing capacity. Most of its customers are leading medical device and pharmaceutical companies that depend on B. Braun’s more than 5,000 registered products, as well as its engineering expertise and manufacturing capabilities, to expand their capacity and bring high-quality devices to market quickly and effectively.

The new name creates a singular worldwide identity for this global team and underscores the value of B. Braun’s international resources’ ability to work closely with its multi-national customer base.

The newly named division was introduced to the market at MD&M West last month.
