Arterex, a medical device design, developer, and manufacturer, has acquired Synecco, a designer, developer, and contract manufacturer of advanced medical delivery systems.

Synecco is based in Ireland and boasts expertise in the structural heart space, with the addition of injection molding and assembly capabilities. The company serves both the Irish market and mainland Europe, combining engineering expertise with automated production to serve their customers.

The company offers end-to-end product development from concept design through engineering, injection molding, assembly, and supply chain integration. Synecco touts over two decades of precision molding experience, featuring extendable cleanroom and non-cleanroom production. This is supported by an in-house metrology lab and tool maintenance workshop to deliver quality, scalability, and reliability.

“Synecco’s capabilities in design and development, including in structural heart technologies, injection molding, and assembly expands the breadth of our product offering in Europe,” said Jeff Goble, Arterex CEO. “Synecco is a trusted partner for many leading medtech companies, and Arterex brings increased resources to support Synecco’s accelerated growth.”

Arterex is a multi-capability medical device developer and contract manufacturer resulting from the combination of Kabo, Formula Plastics, Luc & Bel, ModenPlast, NextPhase, Micromold, Phoenix, Adroit USA, Xponent Global, and now Synecco. The company serves a wide range of customers, from blue chip global medtech OEMs to leading innovators.

“We’re excited to embark on this strategic partnership to create new opportunities,” said Synecco managing director Tony Doherty. “Arterex’s global resources and dedication to innovation, quality, and collaboration aligns perfectly with our vision for the future.”
