Jabil has entered a strategic collaboration with Midwest Interventional Systems (MIS), a provider of design, development, and manufacturing services for minimally invasive medical devices.

Through the agreement, Jabil and MIS will offer enhanced catheter design and development capabilities to medical device OEMs, leveraging Jabil’s global manufacturing footprint and supply chain scale.

“This partnership with Jabil enables us to scale our expertise in advanced minimally invasive devices to a broader range of life-saving products. In addition, we now have unparalleled access to geographically diverse, low-cost, manufacturing services that will allow us to maintain our world-class standards of customer service and device quality to an even wider group of customers,” said Bryan Patrick, MIS CEO. “We are proud to work with a team that shares our mission to improve patient outcomes every day.”

“MIS and Jabil bring a powerful combination of expertise and resources across the medical device lifecycle to create a one-stop-shop for complex catheter solutions,” said Shane Smith, Jabil’s VP of global business units, healthcare division. “Healthcare OEMs can take advantage of MIS’s rapid prototyping, iterative testing, and optimized catheter design, which is then transferred for assembly at scale across Jabil’s global network of healthcare sites throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia.”
