Power system components supplier Interpower has launched production of its Japanese 12A/125VAC hospital-grade power cord and cord set, having already obtained the necessary approvals. With a Japanese hospital-grade plug on one end and an IEC 60320 C13 connector on the opposite end of 1.25 mm2 VCTF cable, the cord set comes ready to use.

The newly designed plug offers more flexibility in manufacturing custom cord length and color options for this cord set, according to the company. “Our customers reach out to us for solutions to ease their pain,” Interpower’s Marketing Vice President Ralph Bright said. “Our goal is to provide customers with electrical knowledge in multiple formats. Our videos, e-newsletters, blogs, and whitepapers make that knowledge readily available.”

Advantages of Interpower’s new Japanese hospital-grade cord set:

  • Japanese hospital-grade cord set with a PSE-approved plug bearing the “green dot”
  • Internal stainless steel clamp rings to ensure conductor retention
  • Customized lengths/colors—standard color is gray. Black, clear, and other custom colors available by request.
For nearly 50 years, Interpower has manufactured electrical cable, cords, cord sets, and components in Oskaloosa and Lamoni, Iowa. Its marketing and testing divisions are located in Ames, Iowa.
